Steak House in Espelkamp

Yes, what should I say. It was not our first time to eat there and we always felt very comfortable. But on the last visit it was completely different. Food was OK but not as we knew it. Due to Corona there wasn't so much going on, but when I reserved the table at 7.30 p.m. nobody told me to do it again at 9 p.m. We ate and were asked shortly before 9 p.m. if we wanted to have a drink. At the time nobody wanted anything, but a little later we would have liked to have had a drink, we said that too. 5 minutes later a young man came and told us that he would like to cash in now, they would now close. He said you have to cut your hours. OK. There were 3 people present. Perhaps it could have been possible to reduce the staff and not have to throw out guests. Incredible we saw the steak house last time. Thanks to the team for letting us know that restaurants are closed. So as an addition that was before the Corona closure. We were there in October.

The food is delicious, the staff very friendly and attentive. We love going there.

Today we went to dinner with four people at the Steakhaus Espelkamp. We had ordered a table for 7:30 p.m. Lt. The steakhouse menu is open until 10:00 p.m. As we were the only guests at 9 p.m., a young man came to our table and said that we would like to pay now, please. In response to our objection that it was open until 10:00 p.m., he said we had to make a cut now. All I can say is that this is not how you treat guests, we won't be back !!!!!!!

Been eating there yesterday with all the kids. Schnitzel, steak, french fries, everything tasted really good. I can only recommend it!

Delicious lunch on the terrace in the middle of the city. Very friendly service.

Used the lunch buffet style and it's an easy and fast. The quality of food is really good too! Kind and supportive staff makes the visit a visit with good memories.

We used the 30% promotion with a group of 10 people and were there on a Sunday evening. We took advantage of the weather and sat outside. Friendly attentive service. It was also often asked whether we still want something and everything is satisfactory. The drinks were delivered quickly. Because of the large number of people and because it was well attended that evening. The waiting time of a good three quarters of an hour was understandable. The steaks all had the cooking point ordered. Which is probably not always so easy with the stress in the kitchen. The price-performance ratio was completely okay. That evening the steakhouse could be recommended without further ado. Will check the constant quality on the next visits ... ;-)

Unfortunately, the experiences fluctuate with each visit from good to bad. On good days, eat delicious, hit the cooking point. On bad days, wrong meat on the wrong plate, with which you are asked to exchange the piece of meat yourself, did not hit the cooking point .. forgot to share the order and much more ... The last visit was at the weekend, outside. Yes it was full, but almost everything went wrong (see e.g. the three points just written) which was also noticed, unfortunately there was no offer to waive part of the bill, or to drink a little something, or a dessert etc. We only heard one, "maybe next time it will work better". We have been there many times, but unfortunately we have had negative experiences too often. Too bad, then you have to go to BI or OS again, but not to Espelkamp any time soon.

If you currently want lunch and dinner at fair prices, this is the place for you.

Streaky impression. The food tasted great in itself, but the degree of cooking was sometimes far from what was ordered (how is it possible to roast a steak in half medium and the other rare?). Unfortunately, you can't put it down to stress either, as there were hardly any guests at the time.

Steakhouse. A place where I would get a steak to eat. Ordered a T-bone steak; medium well. But received a steak which was undercooked. Appeared to be misunderstood as medium rare. Had it returned to be cooked well done. Upon receiving it back was satisfied until I reached the steak area near to the bone where it was still undercooked. I guess it's difficult to properly cook a 800gram T-bone steak to the right time & temperature.
